Come to Tilghman Island and sail with us!
The Skipjack Rebecca T. Ruark is reconized as a national historic landmark. She was built in 1886 in Taylor's Island Maryland. And has been working the Chesapeake bay bringing oysters to market ever season since.Captain Wade H. Murphy bought her in 1986 and spent that summer completely rebuilding her. That is also the same year that the Bays oyster population was devastated by a disease that almost wiped out the oyster business in MD.In 1995 Captain Wade decided to start taking tours on Rebecca. To show his love for the bay and dredging oyster. We look forward to sailing with you when your in Tilghman Island. We can take up to 49 passengers on her spacious decks.Perfect for bus groups or Family reunions. So Sit back and enjoy the scenery and listen to stories from over 50 year of Wades adventures working the Bay. Or you can choose to get into the action and help raise the sails and steer. Your choice. See you this summer.
